but Gai is Jounin right? Ive never seen him do ninjutsu....not that I can remember...

Ive only just gotten past the fillers in the first Naruto series though. I keep watching the episode where Shino laughs uncontrollably >__> its funny. >w<

Actually, Gai doesn't do ninjutsu so much but he's actually considered a genjutsu master (supposedly same level or better than Kurenai), Gai doesn't use ninjutsu or genjutsu because he would feel bad using it around Lee since Lee can't do either, basically he is showing Lee he can be a great ninja without using either one by being an example. Nobody seems to remember that Gai is one of the few nin who can use a summoning jutsu (the big turtle).

Lee has chakra, he just can't get to it in his body.
