Description If there're poles, lightning will hide behind them.

Seeking shelter outside Lost Sea Opals.

Lightning Ridge, NSW, Australia.

This is a fantastic shot, you positioned yourself well, and how lucky you are for the lightning to have landed perfectly next to them! Good organisation of space, I love the lens flare produced by the light as well. Overall a marvelous shot!

Thank you so much! It's rare for the lightning to have been in the open, I swear it usually goes out of its way to ensure it's behind something, and those poles were just tempting fate for lightning behind them.

I have a different version of this, cropped to a portrait image of the left-hand side, with the perspective corrected. I should upload.
