Hey, with just recently being able to watch Finding Dory in my theaters and my brother putting in Finding Nemo in our DVD player a couple days ago, I wanted to give Dory her limelight. Well, her mer-light to be more specific. Truth be told, while watching both movies I always seem to imagine these fishy characters if they were merpeople(aside from them having to interact with the humans and any mentions of fish as pets or being researched).

To be honest, I like being more diverse with the lower part of a merperson rather than a simple green, red, or blue(sorry Ariel) as this can show the ocean world more. That's probably why I like the waterfire saga so much; they're lower bodies could be a fish tale, and eel tale, crab legs, tentacles, etc. It shows more of a otherworldly side rather than the usual human side we see when it comes to merpeople- I'm rambling again aren't I?

Anyway, I researched a lot to find a good tail for Dory here that was very similar to both Dory herself and the real Blue Tang, but with all that thought put into her, I didn't leave a lot of creativity juice for Marlin. Not even for his clothes either, even when I had tried to search up a dress for Dory that would show her bold flare(and was actually based off an Australian designer), I simply did a suit & tie for him. Personally, I don't really think all mermen go shirtless(and I can't even really draw that nor do I usually want to) and Marlin's character is a father who is pretty mature rather than a teen merman struttin' a his abs that he got while working out with the sharks, y'know? That's my excuse at least.

Also, I like ear fins. There. I kept that one short. (also my god I love Gerald jfc)
