Too true. I HATE my voice when I hear it recorded. But that doesn't even begin to compare with how my mom reacts when she hears herself. She was raised in Springhope, NC and it shows in her accent. Examples: Pin vs. Pen. They sound the same! Dog = Dawg. Salt = Sawt. Springhope =Β Spranghope.Β And when someone says they're about to start doing something, she says "It should'a done been done!" Her co-workers actually made flash cards to tease her with XD But the worst part is the fact that she denies having an accent! She got the shock of her life when I recorded her talking one day and played it back for her.

What? Her reaction was funny! But I'm serious, her accent is bad. It's a miracle I don't sound just like her since I grew up with her. I have a more northern accent until I'm around my family for a while.
