It seemed to fit the mood of the piece. Alex Lloyd is amazing.
ANYWAY. I love texture, I think it adds to any piece,
and you definitely proved that it does here. The sketchy
outline on the champagne really adds to that "aged" look.
It feels like an old photograph, full of memories that
have been kept in a box under the bed for decades...

I agree with Ashley here, beautiful colors and wonderful style! I love the writing, it adds something to this that I cannot indentify. And the mare's expression's done perfectly, she looks so alone and desperate. Beautiful work!

Have you ever seen 'Love In A Time Of Cholera'? This piece reminds me a little of the main plot of the film. The muted tones of the horse in the foreground are very expressive, they remind me a little of Japanese prints (Hokkusai in particular)
