okay so. i was thinking. karkat will not go in the water alone because of what crabdad was always telling him about it to keep him from wandering in and drowning as a wiggler, so not only would dave have to help him across whenever they pass through a stream, but he would also have to do a lot of coaxing to get karkat to bathe? lil baby is scared the current will wipe him right off his feet so dave has to hold his hand and promise to keep him anchored. also that would eliminate the later need for awkward biology-centered conversations because it would just be common knowledge of what the others body looks like/how it works? just throwin that out there for cs uvu
