I was so tempted to get this card just for the art when I won FNM but I don't play those colors... ever... so I had go for the EDH black card

I love the color scheme and the green sky. Reminds me a bit of the "Hani" lion people from C.J. Cherryh's "Pride of Chanur" series.

Why would Magic fans hate this? I mean it's not knock you dead amazing but it's better than a lot of stuff that shows up even on modern cards. Maybe I'm just easy to please. Qasali Pridemage is an awesome and flavorful card and this certainly does him justice.
