Good news everyone! Guess who finally got a drawing tablet with a display? This guy! To celebrate this advancement, I decided to draw a character of my own that I have been working on for some time.

**MAJOR SPOILER WARNING** for the High School DxD light novel series the anime is based on, as well as the short story High School DxD EX.

While reading EX, I generally liked Issei's future kids. However, I couldn't help feeling disappointed with one in particular. Rias' son, Ex. As a character he is fine. I just found his abilities (more so then the other kids) lacking. Giving Ex destruction magic, an indestructible sword and an artificial copy of Boosted Gear is a good idea on it's own. But after the events volumes 12 where Issei received a new body from Great Red and Ophis? A body that can partly or completely transform into a dragon? The felt like wasted potential.

So while crafting my fan fic, I created Kayda Gremory (in Japanese Kayda means "Little Dragon"), older sister to Ex. Still not the oldest of their siblings. Kurenai, Airi, Shin, Zen, and Helmwige are older by about a year. As you can see Kayda inherited Issei's dragonification as well as Rias' destruction magic. You might say she is overpowered but DxD seems to redefine OP on a near volume by volume basis.

For those at all interested in my fan fic currently titled "DxD: The Next Generation", I am still working on it. It was a while before I realized how I wanted the third act to go. And it wasn't until then that I saw how bloated and overwritten things had gotten. So yeah, I have a lot of rewrites ahead of me.

In any case, I hope you like Kayda. I know a lot of things need work, but you have to admit she is kind of cool. Lol
