Description This is the completed Cupric process I have been working on for a couple of weeks now. This piece was supposed to go on top of Past-Present-Future but after the patina was done, It just didn't work. Randy and I both thought that it was just to over powering to the overall sculpt. I am very pleased with it on it's own and also very happy with this cool toxic green growth that has eaten away at it. This is a good example of the whole creative process that we as artist all undergo, sometimes you just have to be open to whatever, just let things be as they are.

he turned out very well, love the color so much!!! and you are right, this piece is so strong without to be added somewhere else, very good choice to let it as it is, just powerfull in his own solo glory!!!!

I like the greenish tinge to the skeleton it helps to re-inforce the thought of water.

Funny story: My wife and I where down in Grand Cayman last year and we where snorkeling, low and behold I say a green coin of some sort about thirty feet down. I took my life vest off (great idea) and started diving for it. It was totally grown over with sea life so I had to pull and wrench at it. I was freaking out,, thinking this is like some ancient civilization's coin lost to the wretched sea. Well anyway, after diving and prying,, I found it to be,,, a quarter from 1974! Buzz kill!, but I keep the quarter around at all times, like a luck charm or something. The color of this quarter is sooo cool, the salt has been eating away it for a long while. A natural cupric patina from the depths of the sea, mother earth doing it's thang. This is really what motivated me to try and accomplish this old dirty ocean look, thanks for the comment..

Well then you had the perfect reference point for the piece.

I can sympathize with you too, similar sorts of things have happened to me.

This is indeed a very powerful image.
The way you've emulated the qualities of Hindu Deities
is very aesthetically pleasing. I think you did a good
job on replicating bone structures too....
...reminds me a lot of *kuksi 's divine and morbid sculptures.

...the only thing that's bothering me are the hands.
I wish they were just a little smaller, and thinner.
...but overall it's a very strong piece.
take care...drive safely

Glad you recognize the Hindu hint Chuck. I am very much so a fan of Kuksi and I think he's a very powerful and original artist.
I do agree with you on the hands being to big and on the next one I shall shave'em down a bit. Aww, the glory of having a mold. Thanks again for your feed back it means a lot.
