Description An alien discovered by the government found to feed on sounds. The intakes on its belly act as audio inputs of sorts. Can you guess what its next meal will be?

I'm going to put this animal in the quietest place in the world where it cannot move and also remove it's vocal chords so it will slowly starve to death

Depending on the type of sound such as dubstep I'd say that if it were to take in dubstep it would explode followed by imploding.
Still great designs.

I used to have an imaginary creature that is a tiger with ear for it's head that feeds on sound as a kid. This makes me experiencing a flash nostalgia

looks like strange, four vaginas. But It's not strange after Giger's aliens.

This 'sound eater' or audivore, is commonly believed to feed off of sound directly. This is certainly not true, but without sources of sound, this creature would die. It uses 4 audio-reciever dish organs that funnel sound down into a hardened siphon. Grooves along the creature's back and sides also help project sound into these ear like organs. The sound energy is then channeled through the siphon into two oil-filled 'fans' along the audivore's flank. The presence of oil inside of these 'fans' gives them a bright orange glow under a bright desert sun. Over time, as the audivore matures from juvenile to adult, specialised bacteria grow and settle inside the oil-filled fans, using the sun's energy (refracted through the oil) to create glucose-like compunds. However, these bacteria are not able to release these food-like compunds without something to vibrate them and stir up the bacterial soup within the fans.

This is where sound comes in. A loud noise is funneled through the ear-like organs, goes through the siphon and is projected into the oil-filled fans where its ressonations stir up glucose, which is then absorbed into the audivore's body and gives it a good feed. The louder the noise, the more the glucose is stirred up and the more is absorbed. A noise measuring around 100 Decibels would probably be equivalent to a large packet of chips; a jet plane, (like the one pictured) which emits sounds from 150-160 Decibels, could last an audivore for months.

Thanks, I often get quite inspired by most of these deviations. I like to give creatures such as this a bit of a scientific run-down.

Yeah, I get what you mean.... I can't draw anything realistic, but I just love to make up scientific theories for the existences of creatures like this. I've made up a few somewhere, but I forgot them.

What an original idea! The artwork is always original, but I'm talking about the story built behind it. Inspiring work.

You know something? I'm out of things to say. Seriously, I have given you every complement I can think of at the moment on other pictures of yours. There is now nothing original I can say for your creatures. Maybe I'll think of something later, but your awesomeness has actually made me speechless. You are a very talented artist.

Incredibly awesome design... the only thing is that tail. I can't decide if I like that or not. :S How would this thing walk? It looks like it's tail would get stuck in the sand.
