Since Mot'hena hasn't got any money (or a job for that matter) to buy new clothes, she sticks with her slave wear for comfort while trying to find whatever she can on the streets to survive. Granted, despite not having a home, she does have a close friend named Tunivae, another Vinesian who invites her to stay at her place, but Mot'hena refuses because she feels she has no need to take up such a slot from her friend just yet.

Aside from her frost blue t-shirt and grey sweat pants, she among other former slaves wears red socks to identify the position they used to work in, though the most notable feature of slaves was the numbers branded on their necks for ease of identification. While the Ilathok slave trade was abolished after the civil war, the scars still run sore both figuratively and literally.
