This image is based on a pipe I bought recently. The face is taken from the carved bowl, distorted on photoshop and overlaid with a variety of textures from earlier work.Related content

it has a rust color to it. it looks like a metal mask.
more like a mineral then rock. i like the name tho
burning metal or mineral face would not give it the proper emotion. the bottom under the face looks like marble the top i cant cant tell but the sides almost like fools gold. it looks like some one carved a face into stone.

Wow, David. This is very different and unexpected from you, if I do say so myself. I like it. Is this a Meerschaum pipe image? It almost looks like one of the Greenman series of Meerschaum, minus the typical facial hair. Cool stuff!

It is a Meerschaum pipe - I spotted it on ebay, and thought it already looked a bit like one of my 'mask' images.
