I haven't seen one of these since I was a kid- we used to have a property on the shore of Lake Michigan and there was a field of these out behind our cottage. We played in it all the time. Beautiful capture!

Yes it is... it was taken immediately following a thundershower. The flower was completely saturated, making the choice of a title easy for a change!

That is very cool - is it wet or is that effect from an editor?

Only thing I did in PS was re-size, despeckle, unsharp mask and add frame and signiture. Other than that it's exactly as downloaded from the camera. There were a lot of these and they were all completely soaked.
Was raining slightly but I just had to get out of the house so I went for a walk. Got about five blocks from home when The downpour came... thunder and lightning for a good 40 minutes. I was drenched in the first couple of minutes so I just stayed out there taking pictures.

I have a neat little contraption I made out of plexiglass for shooting in rain... camera is completely covered and dry.

I agree the water made this shot... I pretty sure I read somewhere that colors are better during or after showers because the ultra-violet rays are filtered.

Wow, well if you read it somewhere, then it must be true. Though I adore both sunny clear days and cloudy stormy days. (Though it has to rain, otherwise it's just sad and gloomy)
