Day 4: Cosplaying one of your favorite characters

Well, I mentioned when I did this day's challenge for Tetsuko - 30-day OC Challenge- Day 4 - that I'd already drawn Tetsuko as one of my favorite characters, Lum from Urusei Yatsura. (TCC October 2012 - 2 ) But… I hadn't drawn Sonya as Lum until today.

It occurred to me, as I was trying to decide who to draw Sonya as, that it seems that it might be a better insight into the character if he/she were to be drawn as the character's favorite character, rather than the creator's favorite character. [In which case it wouldn't have been appropriate to draw Tetsuko as Pat Savage, since Tet-chan isn't that familiar with Pat (or Doc Savage, for that matter).] Although in Sonya's case it wouldn't make any difference, since Lum-chan is one of her favorite characters as well. (In fact, it was the discovery that Sonya and Tetsuko both enjoyed Urusei Yatsura that started the transformation of their relationship from professor/student and employer/employee - in Japanese terms, senpai/kohai - to friends, and then best friends.)
