Looks like "Sonya's Boudoir" is starting to become a series...The main motivation for this artwork is that so much of the Sonya art so far emphasizes her bounteous bosom, we tend to forget she also possesses a delectable derrière. (There's some accent marks that belong on "derriere", but I can't remember where they go Thank you to the commenters who helped me with that word!)

While normally I love your work, David... I gotta be honest, this one's not your best... and I apologize if my comments come off a bit harsh...
The way the light and shadows fall, coupled with the way she's kinda twisting at the waist... it doesn't look good. She looks like she's got giant thighs and hips, a tiny lopsided butt, and a weirdly-shiny boob coming out of her armpit. Also, I coulda sworn she had at least a little more definition than this - not like Tetsuko, of course, but something. I mean, if nothing else, with a chest like hers, she'd need some good back muscles...
Like I said, normally you do awesome work, but this falls kinda short of the mark. The lack of your normally vivid linework and shade-contrasts (like you do for the TCC images) might be part of it too, as instead of the lighting giving it a "soft" feel, it just kinda looks unfocused, especially for her butt, which mostly just looks kinda smudged.
My apologies for the criticism, but it just struck me as needing to be brought up. That said, for what it's worth after all the other stuff I'd said, the hair and face are spectacularly done and damn-near perfect, however.

Maybe you could see what I was going for if you could see the photo reference I was using, although it wouldn't necessarily negate your observations.

That might help. To be fair, I did make my judgements a bit late at night, so in retrospect the time might've colored my assessment of the lighting a little poorly. Either way, comparing the reference with the final item might put things in better perspective.

"Derrière" is spelled with a grave accent on the second 'e.' You can type it and other accents with a code. For Windows, it is ALT + 232 on the number pad. For Mac, its OPTION + ' (apostrophe) and then a vowel (in this case e). You can also use the Character Map program built into Windows to find accents and unusual characters; Mac may have a similar funtion. Another easy way is to look for the accent online and copy+paste.
In any case, I appreciate your attention to correct spelling for foreign words!
