About a week or so ago, I drew this sketch

of Starburst, based on a photo of Jayne Mansfield. Then I decided to turn that into an actual portrait of the Cosmic Heroine, as you see here.

Starburst has always looked better to me when she bore that classic "Hollywood blonde bombshell/glamor girl" look exemplified by Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe, Mamie van Doren and others, but especially Jayne. So Jayne is my "go-to" when I want face reference for Cynthia/Starburst. (Not necessarily striving for an exact likeness, just trying to capture some of that essence.)

(Wondering now if I should do a series of portraits of Starburst as she'd look if "portrayed" by Monroe, van Doren, Anita Exberg, and other similar "classic Hollywood" stars...)
