David - you are SO polished and your style SO established it is difficult to critique. On this particular sketch I truly enjoy the limited palette. The use of ambers give this an instantly ethereal yet forest glow. When I critique I like to give my very favorite bit on apiece and my least favorite bit. My very fave is of course the light and palette. Were I to identify something as my least favorite I would only say that the composition could be more challenging. That would be "gilding the lily" as they say - as your work i consistently superb and a simple unchallenged comp does allow a viewer to just gaze and appreciate everything else but it might be nice to see some unexpected compositions. My humble (VERY) offering. Love your work.

This is so amazing to me. I love absolutely everything about this right down to the colors chosen, the stance of the Faun. And I call him a Faun because that's what he's nearest to in mythology. I adored the World of Warcraft Fauns and he reminds me of the males.... strong, alert, and a force to be reckoned with. But, at the same time, he can seem gentle and loving.
The antlers, oh heavens! I am in love. I can't take my eyes off of him! He is just so..... wow. I mean... no words! It's like some forgotten fantasy has suddenly awakened.
Bravo, friend...... Bravo.

this is really awesome! i just noticed that the front leg on the left is a little off; I don't think a horse leg can would do that. The colors are beautiful though!

The interesting thing about this piece is how alike to Bambi it is, the sheer composition has such an intense "king of the forest" vibe to it that the reverence can be felt through the screen. His noble form and his dignified look only ad to the regalia of the Stag/ManΒ
