I wish i could get into Vectors more... all I have is photoshop, and i'm waiting on getting a graphic tablet.

I'm using macromedia freehand, and for cheek makeup i used the effect gaussian blur

Yes it's pure vector, Freehand has a gaussian blur effect. I used that in combination with basic transparency

damn! i should check out freehand! alls i got is photoshop and you can only do sharp lines, if you do a gaussian blur, it rasterizes it!
