this is a great shot! i just tried to s hoot ships in fog in San Francisco - not easy - this is great with the right exposure on the boat and still get the mood of the fog, etc. just great!

i like this photo alot. the muted colors are just the start. i like how the boat is asymmetrically balanced but you have that poll in the background and that sets off a good dynamic between the two. the way the beach contrast with the water and just fades in to the sky giving a seamless backdrop is a nice touch. i think all thees add up and let us focus on the interplay of the boat and the poll
