drawn while visiting my folks in Agoura, tons of horses out there, sketched this one down the street about 2 years ago, using conte and prang charcoal, felt it was a nice rendering and had strong light source helping w/the mood even though just a simple straight on head shot, drawing from life just brings out so much moreRelated content

the big ass property w/he sprawling lawn that goes up towards the house....a little white house is the mailbox..... now a big black gate around the property...

OOOO Agreed. The rendering is very well done. Gives it a great sense of depth. And it doesnt have the "Shiny" look to it that sometimes comes out

horse are tough to draw, animals in general, been teaching animal drawing for years...and just keep going. Horses are both graceful and so strong @ the same time so exist as one of the toughest to tackle, most ungulates are
