Description Timothy "Tim" Holmes
Age: 23
Occupation: Librarian
Tim is one of the librarians of an independently run Harlow Library which is deep in the allies of the city. When he was younger, he often goes to this library with his uncle to do some readings; additionally, his uncle was close friends with the owner of the library. The owner had a bright personality and often welcomes the two in open arms. Tim's uncle was known to be one of the more adventurous members of the family as he taught Tim various strategies of surviving on his own; in fact, at the age of 8, Tim uncle even taught him how to properly use a gun if the time ever comes for him to defend himself. Of course the family, especially Tim's father, were not pleased with the uncle's interactions with Tim. One day, the owner of the library and Timothy's uncle went off for a business trip, and Timothy was given the responsibility of taking care of the library while they were away. Timothy had always been curious if there was ever more to the Harlow Library than what he normally sees. Every night, after everyone has left the building, Tim went off to places of the library only few could enter. He stumbled onto books that seemed very foreign to him. Each of the books were in different languages, but yet relate to one another as different segments of something larger. They each had a roman numeral in a center of a sunflower. Within each book, they held illustrations of places he has never seen in other books before. While he did had access to most of the library, there was only one room he could not enter, the owner's room. One night, as Tim was trying to translate one of the mysterious sunflower books, the owner's room suddenly had an unusual light glowing through the cracks of the door with a soothing hum. When he noticed the odd light and humming, he tried to approach the room; however, the humming and warm light only made him fall asleep. The next day, only the owner, injured and quiet, returned from the trip. Tim's uncle went missing during the trip. Since then, Tim tried help the owner manage the library whenever he came over to visit; meanwhile, Tim continued to translate the books when the owner would go off to do some errands. As Tim got older, he begins to have dreams of being at the places he read about in the sunflower books. However, he has also had dreams of being someone else, being thrown in dangerous situations with other shadowy figures as they call him by his uncle's name, James. On some nights when Tim does have these dreams, he sneaks off to continue training what his uncle has taught him, including aiming and shooting with his uncle's revolver that was given to him the same day the owner returned from the trip. The owner even complements Tim on how more and more he is becoming like his uncle James. As Tim nearly finishes translating the last sunflower book, a huge earthquake erupts...
