I don't believe in age limits, but I know a lot of companies look for younger talent.

Draw! Seriously you need to be drawing everyday. Draw from life and get the basics of anatomy, structure & form, light & shadow, perspective and storytelling down pat. Draw everything you can (scripts can require you to draw anything at anytime), and draw a lot! (I don't think I can stress that last point enough)
