I love going home to Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival. I love it so much leaving at the end of my holiday is always a real downer. It was a Sunday lunchtime and I was walking with my family through Princess Street Gardens feeling sad at my imminent departure when we came across the London Community Gospel Choir doing their thing.

I'm not a religious person in any way, a complete non believer, but it really lifted my spirits watching these people expressing their joy in their beliefs through song. As we watched the crowd got bigger and bigger with many of the people joining in the singing. One of the crowd I recognised as the conductor of the Soweto Gospel Choir singing the sweetest harmonies. All in all it was the perfect end to my holiday.
