When we were kids my parent would sometimes get everyone up before the sun to go fishing on one of our little skiffs. I didn't mind the fishing part but I think the fish are still in the river at.....say noon!

Lol.. you're in Maryland? Lots of those little skiffs down there on the bay.. I lived in South Jersey for a number of years (moms are still down there .) and sis in law lived in Salisbury, and Galena.. These little skiffs are from up in Maine..

they go back and forth a lot.....tipping i mean...especially when you first step in. Kinda wobbly.

are these more like containers to drag things around in or actual vehicles that people move about in? they're so cool looking and look antique

They're used as tenders for the lobstermen to row out to their boats to go fishing. Most of them are hand made out of plywood..
