The thing about Mimir is he is just a head, a wise head. He is traded to the Vanir with Hoenir and is a councilor to Odin. I wanted an older, Shakespearean type actor. And because Mimir is just a head I wanted someone with stunning eyes and Peter O'Toole immediately came to mind. His eyes are still striking after years and he has a great deep voice and would be fantastic at this part.
