I honestly thought I would never get this done ever. The background took the longest... I sharpened every last one of my colored pencils, though, so that was nice. It's a self portrait, and I was actually sort of inspired by Chuck Close and his photo realism (foreground); and Jackson Pollack for his gestural abstraction (background). I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
