Acrylic painting done on a very large board of canvas I can't remember the size of.
Yes yes, a cheesy title I had to make up last minute. Now that I think it over Star Music might have seemed a little more modern, but I like my cheeseball stuff anyway.

This was a submission for my city's open art exhibition for their local artists; each artist that is asked to make a work for the show has their piece put on a banner that is put out on main street for the rest of the year. This is my third year doing this, and I'm hoping to contend for their scholarship this year.

The piece itself was very whimsical for me. It's a little reminiscent of Starry Night, but I really liked putting all the color in and working with impressionistic techniques. I think it's going to look really good on a banner, and I hope it gets sold the first night.
Right now, the rights to the image itself now belongs to the city, but I still like to take advantage of the fact that I made it, so hoping for a good turnout for the opening this year, since it feels like such a successful piece. ^_^
