I was in charge of painting the barricade for the production of Les Miserables.I never realized how hard it was to make junk pile.
(I'm even more impressed with the set designer of Cats)
It was quite a big project, but by now I should be used to the theatre asking me to paint set pieces. But the lighting was perfect for catching all the little details, so I was thankful for that. (even with my crappy phone quality.
) In any case, it was a huge success, and I got to see how it looked the other night with and we both loved it. Personally I find any show that gets me to cry is a success. Cameron Mackintosh produced the English version (he also opened CATS on Broadway), Herbert Kretzmer did lyrics, Claude-Michel Schonberg did the music, and Alain Boubill and Jean-Marc Natel did the original French lyrics.
