It makes you wonder what Everfree used to be.... My theory is that Everfree was the former capital before Canterlot and the forest used to be like the city in front of it but it all became cursed by Nightmare Moon and is now the Everfree Forest. The name Everfree sound too innocent for it to have started out a bad place as always...

Beautiful. I might have stared at this for a little bit too long. Now I'm practically speechless, and I like to give meaningful comments. Hold on... uh...
I've always had a special affinity for the Moon (so much so that I always capitalize it). It was my first word, if my mom is to be believed, and I always feel warm, excited, and curious when I see it.
The Moon in this picture gave me those same feelings. I'm not sure how or why, because it's just a painting. Maybe it's the way you made it glow, or the soft light it's casting on Twilight, or the way that gnarled tree snaked up to greet it (I have a thing for trees, too).
Great scenery. There's a story to be told within this picture, and that's always a wonderful thing. Lovely idea, beautiful execution.
(Ironic that my emotion is "Speechless" while this is the longest comment I've ever given you. Sorry 'bout that.)
