I really like the technique you use for the leaves ! Do you just avoid areas you want to stay highlighted ? Or do you use masking fluid ?

I actually had put a light wash on the entire background (wet on wet) using the two colors (purple and green). Once dry, lightly penciled in the leaves before darkening areas around the leaves and then used the two colors to balance shadows and details. If you want more examples on how to do leaves like that, I would suggest you check out my friend 's account. She also has several books published which shows tutorials on how she does it. My version is just a variation of what she does.

Figured that it was safe to finally post it. And my poor page was in desperate need of updates and cleaning. ^__^ Still say this one is my favorite of the batch.
