Description Gerald Tarrant is the most wonderful character and he belongs to C.S Friedmans "The Coldfire Trilogy".

I FINALLY managed a tribute good enough to satisfy me. Drawing Gerald is scary. Especially when you're a perfectionist like me.
I do love how this turned out. More use of colour and light and less shape and detail.

As for the scene itself: Gerald feels the light of a rising sun on his face. Well, it's been 900 years.
I need to find this piece a good title. Hm.

I just discovered this and I had to comment - it is one of the most beautiful pieces of fanart I have ever seen - your use of detail and colour is perfect, and you manage to utterly capture the moment and the character... What a wonderful picture - I really hope you plan on drawing some more at some point this is incredible!

Thank you so much! It's such an old picture, heheh All my creative energy goes to writing these days, so I hardly draw anymore... I might consider sending this to her, but I don't know. It's so old...

Thank you for this wonderful piece of art - it's what got me to read the Coldfire series in the first place, several years ago.
I'm glad I re-discovered your artwork, finally, it's haunted my inner vision for too long.

Wow, this is my most favorite character ever. Sadly, I cannot draw like that. But I've made several attempts to create miniatures of his coldfire blade. I love the lighting of this... I love Gerald Tarrant and CS Friedman for making him.

I love this, but I fear I may now have spoiled a bit of the ending? Oh well, only 200 pages to go, I'll have it finished by tomorrow! Already my favourite trilogy ever, and this is a fabulous representation of one of the most awesome characters ever.

It's okay, I'm pretty sure I'm going to finish it tonight. And I suspect I'll cry. A lot. I bought the books a year ago, read the first one, and only got back to reading the other two before Christmas. I have 150 pages to go. I don't want it to end! I'm so glad Celia is setting another story in the Coldfire world.

I really love the colours in this piece, I'm planning on doing some kind of fan art when I finish Crown Of Shadows, I might use a similar yellow-red palette depending on the setting.
