This is my character from my personal fantasy series The Great Gateway. Inspired by Kingdom Hearts, The Lion King, the Chronicles of Narnia and a very close friend of mine, the series takes place in a minature universe between the Earth and the Moon where magic still exists... only just. It's up to this character - although I call him Matthew "Daxter" I know I can do better ;D - to change that.

As the Supernatural Ambassador of the Gateway, his job is to spread magic throughout the miniverse, so it can return to its rightful presence once more. He does so using a magic wand made of a one-of-a-kind metal known as "Rayson." Usually Daxter is a human, but a little ways into his journey, he acquires a necklace which lets him transform into the lion you see here. Transformation is a rare power in the Gateway so this is a big deal for him! Some notable details about his form here:

- The silver claw is the Rayson wand, and is permenantly unsheathed.
- The necklace cannot be removed like a normal one. However it can be temporarily broken and the shards can attack enemies.
- The little gemstone in Daxter's forehead represents the same stones found in the wand as they don't fit onto his claw. These stones can usually be swapped to change the range of spells Daxter can cast. However in this form he only has access to a single stone, limiting his magic abilities. He counters this with unique powers, a great deal of speed and an unpredictable fighting stance.
