Ishak Pasa Palace in Doğubeyazıt, Turkey. Built in the 18th century, it was an administrative complex as well as the residence of the local governor. It has very nice stone carvings, and a commanding view of the surrounding area.To achieve my vision of an alienated, brooding castle, a very intense quadtone scheme was chosen.
Originally color slide, 1986. Quadtone in Photoshop. Yes, the grain is intentional.
