IV - Protect Your Home \ II - The Importance of Supper

At any case, Lomaka already had an experience with fishing, when it was "necessary" to get a couple of catfishes from a large aquarium at home, while staff hadn't saw. Now he needed this for survival, not for fun. Therefore, the first thing he decided to pay with attention was shallow waters. He knew he could dig mollusks, crustaceans, if lucky enough, the minnows too.

While the new parent was busy searching food, Rarog zealously tried not to share her food with the evil prairie-pup. Devante was saddened by the fact that some half-dead calf had broken into her territory, so she considered it necessary to teach it lesson. She already started to jump, but suddenly from the bushes have appeared a... Oh, is this a devil?! Eyeless, without front limbs and giant household kukuri! Devante got scared and froze in place. Lomaka in the same time became a little bit tense, due to grown situation. He doubted that the serious and imposing Prairies would be far from their offspring, and it would also be unlikely that crippled Lomaka could resist them. He decided to not risk this time. The rook has took the caught meal and walked away, leading exhausted Rarog forward himself.

Devante has regained consciousness only after two invaders hid in the thick of trees. Mixed feelings were filling her: the fear and confusion, an anger and proud arrogance. This time she managed to defend the territory, even without a battle. However, this is not a reason to relax. These were only human-pets, what will happen when wild beasts will come through?
