Weapon of choice: Nikon FM10 35mm

I was really concerned with lighting with this scene. But thanks to a pal named Chris, who hooked me up with a vivitar flash, and the street lights I was able to get this shot! Katie, Ian and I drove out to Japan town around 9 pm. That area is pretty isolated during the evenings, which helped since I made them dance, dip and lay on the ground. Spent about 2 hours shooting and dancing and dodging a few cars. I pretty much had to do everything they did just to get the shots right. Everything but dance, instead I sang to them, as I shot, since i do have a pretty nice voice and to set the mood. I love how the street lights look!
When I printed this in the dark room i bosted up the contrast filter to 4 givinig it that movie old time feel. I decided not to do too much editing on these photos here only cause it is film and I like to leave it un touched.

????? The Notebook????: This is the scene when Allie and Noah go on their first date. After the movies they take a walk and Noah asks her to dance with him on the street. She agrees and he begins to sing a tune to her. From here on they are deeply in love.
