This is incredibly beautiful, actually. I see the woman on the left, and her eyes express sadness and longing.
The two children on the swing seem to be good friends. I quite like the emotion portrayed in this wonderful piece of artwork.

This touched my heart, Cathy... You did this so well, that I imagine this lady thinking about her childhood, missing former times and wishing she could live there forever instead of carrying the life she carries now.
Maybe, only maybe, there is a part of me that feels that way too, specially when tasks, stress and duties overwhelm me and I remember my childhood. It also had stress and tasks and duties, though 
And again, on the other hand, we continue our daily struggle. Because the memories of those happy or less busy moments give us strength.
The way you blended this and the colors chosen are absolutely perfect to deliver the feeling.
I wish I could see each resource you used to be able to comment better about it.
But I was really captivated by this one and I want to congratulate you. It moves the viewer... or me at least!

I believe childhood is both a very intimate and common theme to everyone, for obvious reasons. My personal feelings about this picture are that some people don't regard childhood as safe and beautiful time, and they miss something they didn't get then, for a long time when they grow up - maybe for the rest of their lives.
Nevertheless, different viewer can see very different outcome, and this is very interesting too. I believe that viewer's interpretation is the most beautiful thing the picture may cause.
Coming back to the technical things, now I think I could post my sources for this photomanipulation to the scraps, maybe I'll do it later.

Interesting point you mention there. Indeed, I know people who
do miss something - and keep searching it forever. The adult
reactions to that are many (i.e. trying to live through their
children what they missed, or living a neverending childhood
instead of growing up, etc.).
And I do agree about the second. Each of us will see something
different and that is what brings our works alive!
I would really like to see your sources. That is one of the things
I absolutely love doing and I find it so frustrating when some artists
just place a link to a full gallery instead of to each resource
I'm possibly always behind due to this passion of mine - it's a great
way to learn and admire the artist's skills.
I don't know if I have your scraps on, but I will turn them on if they
are off.

Mergaitės iš pradžių buvo sumanytos kaip vaiduokliukai, bet liko tokios pusiau materialios
Namas tiesiog vieną savaitgalį druskininkuose fotogeniškas pasitaikė. Mano namai visi daugiaukščiai mūriniai, neromantiškos išvaizdos.
