I've been watching a few 'Urbex' videos lately, and there are a shocking number of wonderful old buildings falling into dereliction. Noisy/Miranda was sublime, in part it was a victim of its own charm since the owners professed to be concerned that it posed a danger to trespassers, drawn to explore it. It seems like an unnecessary and deplorable act of destruction, the stonework appeared perfectly sound, and I'm sure some sort of restoration and re-purposing could have been organised, even if it was just a case of facade retention. Anyway, glad you think I did it justice.

I looked into the wiki: it is interesting that without people the castle didn't stand even 50 years old.
