Heidi had been reunited by father Kradon in the imperial compound, to which her rescuers returned after their expedition to Jabba's palace. Since then they had remained within the base as the commander's guests. Commander Spen had advised them against venturing out as things had become more turbulent in the region since the rescue, no doubt at Jabba's instigation. Kardon and Heidi were happy to be reunited, for the most part, but there was now a shadow over their relationship. Kradon wished things could be as they were, but now found it difficult to look at his daughter without being reminded of his failings that had resulted in her period, albeit relatively brief, of captivity under the Hutt. Heidi had proven resilient but the girl these stormtroopers had brought back to Kradon could never quite be the innocent one that others had taken from him. At least she seemed to harbour no resentment towards him, and only referred to Jabba's palace when expressing ongoing concern for companions that she had left behind in captivity.
