I do know the channel the image must be in for stained glass to work differs from that of 3Delight materials - On Iray the gloss image channel (alternatively the refraction color channel (either doesn't make natural sense to me).
Did you have glass with geometry or just one polygon (I am assuming if you made it in sketchup it might be more than 1 poly thick)
One glass panel has an item mentioning Elizabeth of York - so post tudor then. No biggie, but it's kind of like posing a Victorian scene before something from the Edwardian

It doesn't make sense but it works.
The glass area in the original sketchUp model was a plane with no thickness filled with a non-transparent photo texture of the stained glass window, in the right position and size. Instead of applying that as a surface when I brought the model in to Daz, via Blender, I used a clear glass shader for the surface and the photo texture was set for the glossy layer. This makes it function like translucent coloured glass.
Elizabeth of York (d. 1503) the wife of Henry VI, the first of the Tudors. The costumes here are passable for early Tudor. I'd prefer the dresses to have square rather than V-shaped necklines, but you have to make do.

There are a couple of Daz forums where they discuss the relative merits of planes for glass with geometry - but perhaps if you are applying an image it doesn't matter - and another in which someone tested the thin setting in surfaces and saw little difference except in render time.
Jan019 has or had some nice dresses on sharecg that I think were square necked and some tudorish era (not many of those about) they are rather old dresses though - I've not used them in a while they might be rather stiff and certainly no good for sitting etc. Also if you have the MFD, PoTS Chohole has some maybe suitable textures for it.

Some very nice poser dynamics on Rendo for that sort of dress also, I think I saw sickle did a tut on using them with dforce - obvs I can't back that up.
