Description Nefertiti on Throne. Now with the magic of dforce applied so that the fabric of her dress falls more naturalistically.

The throne I made in SketchUp.

Sorry, but I have detected something. Hope you do not mind

As your title said: This is Nefertiti. But your author's description says: Nefertari on the throne ...

Nefertiti was 18th dynasty and Nefertari 19th

So, I would tend to that it is Amarna and not Pi-Ramesse....

Thanks, yes, I was checking you were paying attention. Actually I've been muddling up those names quite frequently lately (lack of sleep may be taking its toll) but I certainly meant to say Nefertiti. There is the fact that I have done a number of pictures of both Nefertiti (wife of Akhenaten) and Nefertari (wife of Ramesses II, and as you indicate, 19th dynasty). (Titi is the one who usually has a funnel on her head, Tari is the one usually with the golden turkey hat, as someone recently re-named the Nekhbet.)

I've left in plenty of other errors for people to spot. So far no one has commented that Nefertiti is here sitting on Tutankhamun's throne, though presumably she was dead by the time Tutankhamun, her apparent stepson, was reigning. In the past I've also shown Ramesses in front of the 12th dynasty White Chapel of Senusret, which at the time of his reign had been broken up and used as in-fill within the temple pylon built by an intermediary pharaoh (Amenhotep III of the 18th dynasty).

No problem, I am what is called an "active" watcher, and there are two topics I know quite well.

Well, you are absolutely right. The two queens are usually portrayed as you stated.

Well, Tut was her stepson as she had six daughters with Akhenaten...and because a son was missing for the throne Tut was from another woman.

There were apparently several possibilities who could have been his mother, but was for later history of non importance.

Apparently some sources also talk about that Nefertiti has ruled for three years in the name of Tut after Akhenaten was poisoned.

Well, I adore the work you do, so never paid any great attention to the surroundings

I heard something about genetic tests revealing that Tut's mother was the 'Younger Lady' mummy recovered from KV 35, who is apparently a full sibling of Akhenaten, Tut's father. Neferetiti must have been sufficiently influential to have this sister-queen of Akhenaten relegated to obscurity, and to have her own daughters rather than the son depicted ubiquitously.

Well, I have heard also about the sister-queen as possible mother of Tut or even Teje, Akhenaten's mother as mother of Tut.

So, everything is still up to speculation as nothing is really sure. Both possibilities are valuable possibilities in my opnion.

When an Egyptian princess tells you she loves you like a brother....

Absolutely terrific as always.

However, why is she seemingly in the middle of nowhere? No guards and no sun protection.

Nefertiti should be safely inside her palace being fanned by two nearly naked slave girls.

It was just a test render, this. Eventually I will put her back in the scene where she is supervising her daughters by the pool.
