Hey, Chomp.
I've been a fan of yours FOR YEARS and I love all the work you. You are my most faved out of all the TF artists I follow, and with good reason. But, recently, something about your works feels... artificial. Like, a bit of that passion is gone. Your TFs are starting to look recycled. I'm seeing the same poses, over and over again, and none of your commissions feel fresh or new. Maybe you've had to move aside personal interest for the larger amount of commissions that you now have stock-piling, but, I can't help but feel like a bit of your flare has been lost. Your level of detail has shifted: Your more anatomically correct, but the character/personality in your works feels missing
I'm not saying that what your work is rubbish, hell, some of your most recent works are with my all-time faves. But, Those recent faves are now few and far between. IDK man, I don't want to crush you or anything, and I get that you want to get as many commissions done as possible (because I've seen many artists who've had trouble keeping up to schedule, and some who sacrifice their quality over quantity) I just miss the older Chomp. Still: I don't want you to stop your commission work or think anything negative of yourself. You're still one of my number one favourite artists.

well i'm sorry you feel that way but i'm not really doing anything differently at all, like completely honestly. But here's the the thing, many people commission similar themes and there's only so many poses you can use before you start really stretching for no reason. So noticing a pattern is normal. I don't have any control over what people ask for in commissions, i do try to get some different ideas and such from people. People are just sort of asking for the same things at the moment. Even then, i actually don't have any commissions at the moment, and honestly hadn't for a little bit so there's no "giant pile of stuff" that's forming.Β
But outside of commissions, all i can say is, artists change, at no point is my look/style guaranteed to stay the same and i might move in a direction you don't like. I'm sorry if my stuff isn't the way you like but i'm happy, i always have been, and nothing is different on my end, just had some repetitive commissions for a bit. I'm not upset at all, i have gotten comments like this before as in, on chompworks. I'm not oblivious to things looking similar or stilted but the reason for that isn't a lack of passion on my side, i would just close commissions if i didn't feel up to it. So all in all....don't worry about it lol.Β

phew, thanks for really listening. I don't know why, but I felt that I need this off of my chest. Once, again, I really don't dislike your new work, I guess it may be that I'm just not into the same stuff that people have been commissioning to you, that's all. I'm glad you're still happy and that that passion hasn't fizzled away. As always, keep up your amazing work <3

I just want to say, while There is stuff about your older stuff I do miss, I still love your work and have believe you have improved overall.
