Powers: Neither have any known superpowers. But Chance is extremely charismatic, is an excellent marksman and has a knowledge of explosives both deliberate and improvised. He is a criminal mastermind. Chance is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, Westpoint and is a former army officer retiring at the rank of Major. He is a war veteran and a helicopter pilot.

Tanya is extremely loyal to Chance and refers to him as her hero. She is extremely business minded possessing an advanced degree in international finance and is very skilled at moving money around. Tanya possesses a bachelors degree in international finance and a Masters in the same. She has personal and business contacts in Central and South America as well as Japan and Europe.

Backstory:

Now, rather than the usual 24 hours we normally give out of courtesy for the money owed to us, I am cutting that in half. You now have 12 hours to get us the money you owe to us. If not, I will be the one making this house call. And just to refresh your memory, that amount is 2.5 million."

Because according to Chance's reasoning, "He's an American he deserves to be buried in American dirt." Even if it is in the middle of the New Mexico desert.

Only Chance Griffin will shave his head, tattoo himself with Neo-Nazi tattoos to get in good with a group of white-supremacists and then kill all of them after they give him enough firepower to invade a small country. Should these two obtain space travel capability or nuclear weapons then their threat level will definitely move up to 10.

Chance:
Chance Griffin was born and raised in Camerton, California. Raised by his father Ozwald "Oz" Griffin, and his mother, Liz. Chance is the youngest of Oz's two sons - the other son being Rudolph Templeton Griffin, aka Rudy.
Coming from a long line of criminals and militant family members, Chance saw much of the inner workings of Camerton's criminal world. Chance turned away from his father's criminal enterprises as his mother wished, and concentrated more on being a beach bum and taking to surfing and achieving academic success both of which led him to becoming friends with Courtney O'Bryant, aka Artemis. In highschool Courtney, an avid surfer, and Chance hung out with a group of kids who would "Surf the Point" at Vasquez Point.
Chance and Courtney's friendship would grow over the course of their young adult life. After graduation, Courtney headed to MIT and Chance was accepted to Westpoint. Chance also tried to leave behind his past by by making a career of the Army. However, after two tours of duty in a warzone, Chance retired his commission and returned home to Camerton. Try as he might, and he honestly did try, he could not stay clear of his father's empire and the two were soon at odds.

Tanya:

Tanya Hawkins was born in Camerton, California. She is 2 years older than Chance and Courtney and was married to Chance's older brother Rudolph Templeton Griffin, aka Rudy. Both Griffin boys were athletically gifted with Rudy being the more gifted of the two. Because of Rudy's 107 mph fastball, the Houston Astros came calling right after high school. Rudy was drafted in the third round and while his high school classmates were off to Spring Break, Rudy on his way to Oklahoma for the Minors. Rudy spent 5 years in the minors and never got any better. While his fastball still packed smoke and fire, his changeup needed a lot of work. He was eventually cut loose and ruled a bust.

Rudy returned home and married Tanya, his high school sweetheart. He took a job working at the docks as a welder and all was happy, until he found himself laid off and in the unemployment line. He eventually went to work for his father as one of his enforcers. Rudy began drinking, and smoking his dad's product and grew abusive to Tanya. Tanya suffered regular beatings and other abuses from Rudy. Until one night, while in a drunken rage he sent Tanya to the hospital with a broken jaw. Tanya claimed she fell down the stairs. But that night she swore never again. One month later, to the day, Rudy came home, and Tanya met him with his favorite beer She popped the top and handed it to him. She led him to his easy chair and got on her knees and blew him. Then she led him to the dining room table and served him his favorite meal, fried pork chops with homemade mash potatoes, corn on the cob and fresh, hot, homemade sourdough rolls. Rudy was happy. He finally had his woman trained. He was finally being treated like the king he was. Tanya excused herself to go to the lady's room. When she returned, she had a 12 gauge Mossberg shotgun in her hands and pumped two rounds into his chest damn near blowing him through the wall onto the front porch. She then sat down and had a peaceful dinner before calling the police. Tanya plead guilty to manslaughter and served 1 year on probation. The jury considered Rudy Griffin being dead as more of a community service. Oz Griffin swore revenge, how dare someone raise a hand let alone a shotgun to a Griffin. Tanya quickly went from strong independent woman to damsel in distress.

Chance came home and thwarted an attempt on Tanya's life. That set him forever against his dad. Tanya called Chance her hero, her knight in shining armor, her superman. With the untimely death of Oz Griffin, Chance and Tanya, now a couple, have become the new Camerton power couple of the Camerton underworld.

Tanya has only killed one person, Rudy. But she has been and still is considered a person of interest in the death of Wiley "Dusty" Hicks, the enforcer of the Sons' of Desolation Motorcycle Club. Dusty was the husband of Peggy Helman aka Passion, one of the strippers of Chance's bar, The Last Chance Bar. When Chance acquired the bar, Tanya began looking after and protecting the dancers. The police report says Dusty got heavy handed with Peggy when she did not bring home enough in tips. The police report goes on to say that Dusty apparently answered a knock on the door and received two 12 gauge shot gun blasts to his chest from an unknown assailant.
