Description
Jack's version of a romantic anniversary evening? Stay home, open a bottle of champagne and another of Wild Turkey, stretch out on the sofa together, and watch the (partial) reenactment of "Vaenia" you made the week before. Then head into the bedroom and get busy on the sequel. And the fact that Miranda finds this endearing just tells you how bad she's got it...---
Both the nude Miranda and nude Jack models have their flaws, and I was looking for some way I could use them that would somehow mostly hide those issues. Finally came up with this, and I gotta give props to Dragon-Claw666, and the piece "Painted memory", for being the main inspiration of the idea of using an image within an image. Normally I don't think I'd do something where the nudity is quite so... stark? Raw? Borderline-pornish? But I figure that, A) it's not the sole focus of the picture, just part of a larger whole; and B) we are dealing with Jack here, and I doubt she gives two shits about the difference between 'art' and 'porn', so in this case, I won't, either.

I'm having SO many feeling about this right ow, it almost hurts. It's so well-donem, such a wonderful picture. I love the movie, I love the screenshot of it, the pose, the colors, their position, everything. I can feel the atmosphere. It looks like a warm summer evening, a little breath of air in the apartment and their love and the privacy and ... it amazes me and makes me sad (for personal reasons) at the same time. I'm so touched by this piece. Thanks for making it, buddy. NPC OTP forever btw.

Unfortunately, I'm running into the same problem now: starting to feel limited in the scenes I can do thanks to not having very many settings I can put them in. You can only use the Shepard's cabin set so many times; it'd be nice to be able to do a few action scenes out on the battlefield, too...

I was looking for Omega backgrounds at the time for my Aria picture, but it's like fine like it is. Unless I get help from the other ME fans I'm doing them without backgrounds as a style. Then I might do some porn and bondage to piss everyone off and contribute to the rot...haven't given it that much, just amuses me to say it.
I can get nude models but no ones sharing backgrounds...I became a member of several modder clubs and show your XNA art clubs...I got one sodding chair to pose Aria in...suppose I put every MASS EFFECT Character in the chair for a laugh...be funnier than Joe's motorbike series!

Ah. Darn--I could've told you not to waste your time looking for Omega pics. Originally I wanted to set "Girls' Night Out" in Afterlife, but I couldn't find a single decent image to use as a background. Then I thought I'd build my own, completely 3D, with a bar and an asari bartender, a few people milling around, and Shepard and Liara watching an asari stripper dancing on a table (my first idea on how to hide Shepard's face). But I could only find about half the structural bits and furniture I needed for that. And then to completely kill the idea, I couldn't get the Afterlife lighting worked out. It has this weird tan/brown/maroon thing going on around the edges, with that huge pink video column running thru the center.
Using a black or single-color background is a really good choice, too.

Blimey you're good if you can make 3-D environments, I never even touched a computer in my life a month ago. If I could make my own, I wouldn't bother with this hard to pose stuff. All I can do is unzip model files and put them into the data files of XNA and now XPS. Still haven't worked out what to do when they update something and give you a new head. Don't know anything about modding. Thanks for the links, unfortunately I already have them and they don't have any effect...just that bloody chair.Half the stuff that comes as standard like skyroof for the lighting doesn't work.
The thing is I even seem unable to save anything out of XNA without the grid appearing and nothing out of XPS without it looking like a negative(check the two pictures of Aria-there's a new one)...the only way is FRAPS!

Hmm, that's strange. Not sure what could be causing any of those problems.
Except maybe with HatOfAss's stuff. After you've downloaded, extracted, and put them in your data folder, when you click "Add Model" and see something labeled "ME3 Apartment Furniture Set", for example, do you know that you have to click on that to expand the list to the next set of subfolders ("Bed", "Bench", "Black_Couch", etc.)?

Sorry to take so long to reply. I've been doing more work and trying to get along with XNA but some things are not selectable, don't know why...I mean I know enough to be able to do artwork on it, but not enough to do anything to diagnose or fix anything. I'll just have to persevere for now.

Yep, the entire set (with the exception of the things mentioned, like the datapad and TV) were from HatOfAss's packs. The only real problem I ran into was the wall_long section I was trying to use in the area where the "TV" screen is--it wouldn't reflect the light properly, and instead of turning that nice reddish-pink, became a shade of dark gray similar to the floor and ceiling.

I pulled and tugged quite a bit at the image to try to get the right perspective with it, and am about 85% satisfied with the result. It seems like it should be easier than it is, but yeah, like you said: not so much...

As I get closer to the Shepard recuperation scene, I get closer to the love scene as well -- and that means I have to finish fixing the hi-res texture. I'll definitely let you know when I'm done with it. I'll also send you a download link.
