Description All love and honor to the great , the unquestioned master of Ambercoast and all things Jaune-Zeme!

The venerable H1-IV airframe is simply too costly to maintain now that the manufacturers are no longer making any replacement parts, but the large number of existing partial-airframes means there is a surplus of lightly-used parts that may be scavanged off the less airworthy craft in the fleet.

Liberika had sold several hundred H1-IV’s to the JaZeDNA airforce before that country realized they were being sold antique flying srap-heaps and demanded their money back. Now Liberika has found a new place to dump their unwanted trash. Hello Ambercoast! Look at these lovely new aircraft we have for you!

A few dozen H1-IVs remain flyable and a foolhardy group of volunteer pilots are in the process of flying them from JaZeDNA across FROWO and the Varyagain Union into the Ambercoast Union... too bad they are doing it without permission from either country. It’s a good thing the Lead Sled is fast, and too cheap to bother shooting down... they hope.

Nice design, DBrentOGara Β ! The Phantom is a unique design with a somewhat reptilian presence so its a good fit in any science fiction or alternate reality setting. Even McDonnel Douglas and Boeing helped us proposing quite weird mods which may enhance the appeal of the H1-IV . Unfortunately the system doesn’t let me to add links..

Thanks! I love the Phantom's unique design elements, among 'modern' production aircraft only the F-14s variable wings and the SR-71s piercing curves catch my attention like the F-4 does. If you'd like to add a link, manually enter the "a href" html code and it should work... like this: A link to W3School's page on the a href attribute .

Thanks! I just drew it, the geniuses at McDonnell-Douglas actually designed the thing!

But anyways, it is nice to see that both Liberika and Varyagian Union cares about Ambercoast - after all, they both wish Ambercoast the best...

Yes! It's so caring, caring is what it's all about.

Having a place to dump your old trash is nothing compared to the caring that is happening!

This was charming and fun from start to finish! Bwahaha lead sled indeed! XD

Thanks! I love the way Kiborg-Graph was corrupting concepts from recent-past and near-future military equipment for Ambercoast, and the F-4 is my favorite recent-past aircraft, so when he mentioned that Liberika was going to give Ambercoast some aircraft, I had to jump in!

It's a beautiful and distinctive aircraft,Β  just felt bad about ruining it's flight characteristics and weapons systems!

Well, as long as the jet pilots are as mad as Misha from Mercenaries 2: World in Flames: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Zjfho… , I see no problem in them efficiently flying these lead sleds into their missions - or doing a kamikaze-alohasnackbar bombing strike.

Wow! I love Misha! He is the best drunken pilot ever.

Keeping the Lead Sled in the air is difficult... and I'm not even a real pilot... but they have two seats, so I think I will have Misha drive, and I will sit in the back and open his bottles for him! He will get me to Ambercoast and my Lovely Victoria so fast!

I admire your devotion to Victoria; however, she's not from Ambercoast herself. Do you even her biography?

Of course she's not from Ambercoast! Only bad things are from Ambercoast... she's just visiting because she's wonderful and really cares about people... even the starving workers in Ambercoast

Brought to you by the D. Brent Scrap Metal Salvage Works...?

At least we now know the quickest way of acquiring an H1-IV is buying a large enough plot of land... and then wait a bit.

Preferably something with a hilly bit in the middle of it. >.>

DBrentOGara In reply to kanyiko [2016-06-20 22:00:20 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, for sure!

In fact, if you own land between JaZeDNA and Ambercoast you can just put out an orange wind-sock and some lights in a long line and you'll probably get at least a few H1-IVs falling out of the sky sometime very soon.

...that 'hilly bit' is probably not friendly of you... they're quite difficult to land on the side of a hill... in fact, they tend to crash right into them.

Hmmmm...

*Drops the bid for the foggy, hilly bit, and goes for the wide and flat plains instead*

Yes, a nice flat plain will do very well!
