Description
Natsumi is one of the main characters of the Mega Man X series. She is the successor of the original Mega Man and is another one of Dr. Thomas Light's greatest creation. She is X’s sister and a Maverick Hunter who fights alongside her partners Zero, Axl, and Kurumi in order to maintain peace and stability in the world and protect humans and Reploids alike from Maverick Reploids.
Appearance
Natsumi appears as a teenager with green eyes, long pink hair with metallic pink cat ears and a transceiver headband. Her armor consists of a red, pink, white, and black scheme and modeled into the form of a dress, her limbs being black.
Personality
Natsumi in the main series is presented as being somewhat kind and girly. She was referred to as an "optimistic tomboy". She has grown a more feminine personality, but that didn't remove her tomboyish nature. However, in the later games, she has the personality of a girly-girl more so than a tomboy unlike the earlier games. Despite her aggressive tendencies, Natsumi has a good heart, never gives up, and is one of the most optimistic and cheerful characters.
She is always full of hope and is always cheering on for the good side of things. She almost never seems to find anything hopeless. Natsumi is a cheerful and caring individual, with a positive outlook on life. Her personality has added more a humorous factor in the series. Natsumi was designed and created by Dr. Light to be the first of a new generation of robots called Reploids - robots who could think and make their own decisions without programming limitations. Unique among all of Dr. Light's creations, she possessed incredible physical and reasoning capabilities
History
Natsumi was designed and created by Dr. Light. Light wanted her to fight for the people of the future and guide them to peace and happiness like X did. She resolved to become more independent to be a Maverick Hunter like her brother and she vows to be stronger.
Relationship
X: Natsumi loves her brother X and will protect her even if he causes his own life. She takes her role as his sister very seriously and throughout the entire story constantly goes out of her way and puts herself in danger. She has a very close relationship with him and has always looked after and protected him, but with a very mature respect. The love between the two siblings has always been reflected throughout the whole series.
Kurumi: Kurumi and Natsumi share a sister-like relationship, the two are portrayed as best friends and also seem to frequent together almost completely throughout the X series.
Abilities and Powers
Power Hammer: Natsumi's trademark weapon is the Power Hammer, a large and durable hammer that she is able to call out from nowhere at will, and she preferred means of offense. Though simple in function, Natsumi can wield the Power Hammer rather skillfully and utilize it in plenty of ways, such as spinning it around to form a top, slamming it down on foes, swinging it around offensively while flipping, increasing its size or even have it mimic other attack techniques such as the variants attack.
While not strictly superhuman, Natsumi possesses a high degree of physical strength. She is able to wield her Power Hammer, which appear to weigh quite a bit, with little effort, and can swing her Power Hammer around with enough force to smash clean through the armor of robots and send enemies sky rocketing.
