frightful_flat.jpgThe Frightful Four are a group of fictional characters in Marvel Comics who serve as the antithesis to the Fantastic Four.
The Frightful Four first appeared in Fantastic Four #36, consisting of the Wizard, the Sandman, Paste-Pot Pete (the latter two who freed the Wizard), and Medusa (who had amnesia at the time). The villains were originally fairly successful, almost defeating the Fantastic Four during Sue and Reed's engagement party in their first appearance. They captured all the members except the Torch, who was able to free the others. The Frightful Four even stole the Fantastic Four's powers which later almost killed them in their second appearance.

The original frightful Four are my all-time favorite Fantastic Four foes. Β The only thing missing from your artwork that would make it even better is an unconscious Invisible Girl lying at the feet of the Frightful Four!

Wizard (or Wingless Wizard) Is one of my all-time favourite B-list villains. There is not enough great art about him! This is a nice piece, I love Wizard's sneering face and fact that you made Sandman's tunic purple as it was during time.

Technically Medusa not a villain, but who doesn't love Titania and Medusa. Well Shulkie isn't to fond of Titania, but she's friends with Medusa though.

Paste-Pot Pete was first appeared battling the Torch when he had solo adventures in STRANGE TALES, before Dr. Strange and Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. After awhile, even Pete realized that he had a stupid name, so he renamed himself The Trapster, coming up with more weapons than just his paste-gun...
