Ugh, people are so dumb sometimes. The so accused "sixth finger" is CLEARLY a fold in the palm/wrist..

It may be a mess, but a helpful one. When I was re-vamping the hands on a picture I remember seeing the pose I wanted on here a few days ago. A quick DA search and half an hour or so of tweaking and I got the hand the way I wanted
