Description Drew this with a .5 mm Logo II mechanical pencil. They have really nice erasers.

This is a drawing of the guard "ochs" from the Liechtenaur tradition of German swordsmanship. The stance may be off according to different interpretations as the cross guard is held lower than some pictures I've see. It's also held further forward then some other pictures I've seen but at the same height. *shrugs* I'm also not good at anatomy...

The man is dressed in a loosely interpreted representation of a gambeson. The sword is supposed to be an Type XVIa under Oakeshott's classification system, but it's hard for me to capture the different subtleties.

Great job on this! Do you practice any of Lichtenauer's techniques yourself?

Tried to get into Lichtenauer's art a while back... Now adays I've mostly just got the time for drawing... and I haven't posted anything up in a while at that!
