Finally, an updated version of my old Group Pic
Featuring Danbuster, Frederick and Spencer, but also including pretty much all my other characters from the eagles and the otters to the older generation and even Tlallicoatl and Darien.
Even Team Retsubnad got in on the act!

That reminds me of Clint, whose original name was Chandler. The only person who ever calls him that is Charlotte, and that's mostly during intimate moments (and I don't mean that as in just "sex" moments; sometimes she calls him that when they're dealing with a problem or things like that).
D'awww, Retsy, nobody was telling you to go and live with your parents. They just want you to visit! And you do have love and respect, from your brother, from your parents, from your friend... and Wally...

Ah yeah, so often with certain characters known only by their nicknames?
Like Sonic's fox-buddy Tails is called Miles Prower (a speed pun)
And according to the Archie comics, Sonic has the rather unusual moniker of Ogilvie Maurice Hedgehog... though he never uses it...
Even Dr Eggman is truly named Ivo Robotnik. Makes one wonder if even Knuckles the Echidna has a true name too...
As you know, my character Hydrex the Otter is really called Leroy Rudderbuck - though it's mainly just Pearl who calls him that.
Retsubnad: It's... kind of embarrassing... a would-be ruler of the world like me... visiting his mummy and daddy...
Bustopher: Ah'm sure even Darth Vader missed his mother, laddie.
Daniella: He certainly wanted to reach out to his son.

Yup, names can be fun.
In this recent back-and-forth RP between me and Alex via Note, we've now got this storyline going on where Danbuster and all his friends (including Alex and his own dragons and new GF Billie) have been launched into space Super Mario Galaxy style, courtesy of Retsy who wants them out the way so he can conquer the world without interruption.
Among various things that have happened up to now, they've found themselves a spaceship (based on the Comet Observatory from Mario Galaxy) that they've renovated and tried to power up to take them home, using Solarite (our answer to power-stars) as a fuel source, having started to beat Mario-esque bossfights to acquire it.
To progress, they had to gather resources for repairs (gathered from passing meteors) and construct a dropship to send away teams to the outlying planetoids where the main action takes place.
To build the ship and other tools, and to refine their salvage into usable states (even extracting water), Einspine built a Replicator (apparently based on the Fabricator from Subnautica, according to Alex)
To most of the crew, it's just a Replicator, kind of like a glorified 3D printer that turns their gathered materials into useful stuff on a subatomic level.
However, Einspine himself gave his creation a suitably Jewish name. (Taking a leaf from Brian Jacques, I invoked the Fun with Acronyms trope) He called it ESRA - Einspine's Subatomic Replicator Assistant.
(It has to be spelled with a S, because Z wouldn't work)
Wally: *watching Retsy getting hugged by Mr and Mrs Leadboot* Reckon we could join in the hug?

Not sure how to put it in shortform - basically saying that Einspine created a device for instantly building machines and tools from the resources available. Although the others just call it a Replicator, Einspine himself called it Esra, short for Einspine's Subatomic Replicator Assistant.
A guy connects more with something if he names it...

Yup, as a dragon guardian, Tlallicoatl the Nature-Dragon (Lily for short) makes it her business to always look out for the interests of Danbuster, Frederick and Spencer and all their affiliates as far as possible.
Of course, being a dragon, she does have to keep a low profile too.

Yup, since the old group pic was made, Leroy "Hydrex" & Pearl Rudderbuck had pups of their own and, in the course of character development, I aged them up to teenagers (along with young Strongtal, the eaglet of Marquila & Galeforce RocBeak - in canon, Strongtal is a few years older than Hercule and Boadicea)
Certainly, quite a few characters have been added since last time, including Frederick's girlfriend and otter siblings, not to mention the older generation.
