Lollll, this is so true. For me I usually get my good ideas at the most inconvenient times, mostly right when I'm about to fall asleep and at other times when I'm travelling and I have nothing to write with ( I usually forget my phone has the memo option.) Worse yet for drawing, I may write down the idea but I don't get the feel that I would have gotten if I had started the sketch immediately.

Hah! I get the same thing with writing. As soon as I get to bed is when I have ideas, and have to get up every few minutes to write them down.
